Starting My Entrepreneurial Journal

As part of my Intro to Entrepreneurial class, I am required to start a journal. I've never been great at journaling much of anything, but I look forward to the insights this process could bring over the class and continuing onward, if I feel so inclined. I'm not really sure the best way to set this up for me, so I'm going to use the simple template given in one of our readings this week. It may change over the course of the class, but this seems like a great place to start.

Lessons Learned
I'm not sure I've had time to really internalize or put any lessons into practice yet. I look forward to filling the section in over time, but right now, it's not ready yet. Actually that may not be 100% true. I think something that has been reiterated to me in the readings, and something I already put into practice this week, is to follow my personal revelation and intuition.  The biggest burst of inspiration I had wasn't even for me, it was for my husband. Not direct revelation for him, but revelation to me to encourage him on a path we had been discussing that morning. I don't know what's in store for me quite yet, but I think some great things are in store for him if we both have the faith and commitment to take a leap.

Lessons Not Yet Learned
There is so much in the readings that I want to implement and process in my own life. I think the concept of concrete goals and baby steps is something I need to work on. I'm not sure exactly what I want them to lead to, so I need to think more on that. Another thing that needs to be done is to read "The Richest Man in Babylon." It was actually recommended to me almost 2 years ago and I kind of pushed it to the back burner but I am feeling strongly impressed to read it, so it's on my short list of things to do. I really like the concept of Plan A, Plan B, Plan Z. I think that my husband and I have hung out on Plan Z for so long that we haven't even thought of a Plan A or B in several years. As much as this is about me, I want both of us to take this journey together, even with separate careers.

I think in the future I will have a list of things to do and/or goals I am aiming for. For now, my goal is to continue with the class and having a more concrete goal ready for next post.
